We are now approaching the end of VKey's first full season as a cricket brand in the UK and we'd like to update you on what we have done and what we can do for you and your club.

VKey was set up in late 2008 by a couple of members of Woodford CC in Cheshire who were fed up of paying over the odds for poor quality cricket equipment. We have focused our operation mainly on the Cheshire area for the 2009 season but for 2010 we will be concentrating on getting the VKey name known nationwide.

On July 5th Chris Tipper, the Lancashire 2nd team player, played his second match for Cheshire versus Herefordshire. Chris came in to bat at number 3 and went on to hit a record score for Cheshire of 219 in 221 balls. Chris was also part of a record 8th wicket partnership versus Herefordshire when he put on 153 with fellow VKey sponsor Matt Dawson who ended the innings unbeaten on 61. Cheshire have gone on to win the Western Division of the Minor Counties Championship and will face Buckinghamshire in the final at Slough from September 6-9. Matt Dawson will be taking his place in the side alongside another VKey sponsor, James Duffy, and also Chris Tipper should Chris not be required by Lancashire.

Sandbach Cricket Club are a club who are going from strength to strength. 2009 sees Sandbach fielding 3 Saturday teams as well as 5 junior teams having only set up their junior section a couple of seasons ago. Playing at their impressive new ground at Hind Heath Road the club have received significant sponsorship from the Olympian Garden Building Outlet Village. In return for this investment Sandbach have put the Olympian logo on their shirts which they purchased from VKey. Sandbach have also restocked their junior clothing with equipment purchased from VKey. Congratulations to West Lancashire's under 15 team who won the Bill Robinson Cup, the Lancashire Cricket Partnership under 15 district competition, on the 27th August. The team were smartly turned out in VKey clothing purchased at the beginning of the season.
